They can stretch out.
The second I brought it into the house, the tails started wagging and they ran right over. They sleep soundly each night. They liked the old (too-small) bed so I was afraid they would not like the change. But they seems to be VERY comfy.
I moved this one to the bedroom and ended up ordering a second one for the main area (where they take the morning naps :) ).
And it looks great with other furniture/decor.

The cover is removable and washable, is soft on top and waterproof so he can lie on it even if he is damp after walks.
Looks great and amazing price.
The dogs love it. Now we just need to see if it stands the test of time.
